A 19th century Nepalese Gilt metal figurine of Chakrasamvara and Vajrayogini in Yabyum, meaning Father- Mother symbolises the union of wisdom and compassion. He in the form of Heruka, holds a Vashra, a diamond thunderbolt in sexual union with his female consort. He represents compassion and skilful means to reach enlightenment whilst she represents passive insight necessary to reach enlightenment. A pierced flaming Aureole behind, on an Oval Lotus pedestal, stepped spreading base and inscribed Verso.
