    Late Qing dynasty, circa 1900 stone carved Shakyamuni Buddha heads. Known as the Gautama Shakyamuni Buddha, the face is said to express the moment of awakening/ enlightenment, so Gautama Buddha represents the first enlightened one, whose teachings all Buddhism is founded upon.

    These are genuine Early 20th century Chinese Schist stone head from the Qing dynasty, the last Chinese ruling dynasty, they ruled China from 1644- 1911.
