The aim in creating this piece is to capture the gentle yet awesome allure of the outback landscape and fauna. It is powerful, very nearly spiritual in its calm existence. In this landscape native species, including the Grey Kangaroo thrive.

The Kangaroo know where and how to find water and food. They dig in the dry river bed causing naturally filtered water to rise to the surface to quench their thirst. Instinct leads the way as they traverse long distances, never lost, never wavering in their travels.

The background depicts the watering holes this Kangaroo has travelled to and the tracks she has left in her wake. Where others struggle to survive she knows no fear because instinctively she knows the way.
