This emotive piece is inspired by the hilly landscapes of rural Britain. It is made up of mixed techniques; there are layers of paint, small drawings, long lines, loops and items of text. Whilst line work in this piece is abstracted and free-form, some distinctive shapes can be made out. This composition carries a depth and complexity; it seems to be an iteration of the artist’s line of thought. Where I was a Flower of the Mountain, Yes is part of Philip Maltman’s 2022 series, A Flower of the Mountain.
